Stephen Lee | Partner
Dr.
Stephen Lee joined Ventac Partners as Partner in February 2011.
Dr. Stephen Lee has over ten years of experience in the Life Sciences sector; he has founded and worked for biotech start-ups (TianXing Biopharmaceutical, LifeQual Pharmaceuticals, Casigen Pharma) in various capacities. He has experience in consulting (Applied Strategies, 3V SourceOne Capital), equity research (First State Investments), and patent law (USPTO).
More recently, Dr. Lee was the founder and Managing Director of Bio-Enabler, a Hong Kong based consulting firm providing services to the investors and entrepreneurs to match each other's needs. He is an experienced facilitator of bringing together investment opportunities and funding, business development, market analysis, as well as technology and IP review. Dr Lee’s past projects involved supporting a financial services conglomerate in Hong Kong to launch a China life sciences focused PE fund; helping a Korean biotech startup to expand their product development and launch into China; and working with a US drug delivery company to license-out their technology and establish a JV entity in China.
Dr. Lee obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and has completed certificate courses in Basics of Business Management and Decision Quality in Organizations at Oxford and Stanford, respectively.
