Dr. Peter Horn Moeller | Partner
Dr. Peter Horn Møller is an Intellectual Property Rights expert with significant expertise in bringing patents and other IP rights into play as active business tools. He also has extensive experience in people management and leadership of small to mid-size organizations.
Prior to joining Ventac Partners, Dr. Horn Møller was a partner of Plougmann & Vingtoft, a larger European IP consulting firm. For more than eight years he has successfully headed the Life Sciences business area covering 20+ patent attorneys in the field. In addition, Dr. Horn Møller was serving in Ploughmann & Vingtoft as COO during the later years. The Life Science business area spans a client base from innovative start-ups to multinational corporations within the areas of biotechnology, food technology, pharmaceutical and medical sciences.
For more than a decade, Dr. Horn Møller has been designing overall IP strategies and developing effective patent drafting and prosecution strategies for start-up companies as well as counseled on executive management level regarding complex IP issues related to private financings, M&A deals, IPOs and other transactions requiring substantial technical/scientific due diligence. Moreover, he has provided business advice to universities, public hospitals, and venture capital firms throughout Scandinavia and Europe.
Dr. Horn Møller is an Affiliated Associate Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen in the field of Innovation and Biotechnology. He frequently lectures on various topics of general and applied IPR at scientific faculties as well as at business schools.
Dr. Horn Møller holds a Master degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and obtained his PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Copenhagen.
