The Ventac Center for Drug Development (VCDD) is a Hong Kong based company focusing on transforming breakthrough scientific discoveries into tangible products for the benefit of patients and society. VCDD takes active responsibility for developing promising early stage discovery programs according to pharmaceutical drug development processes and standards. VCDD’s mission is to assist top-tier research institutions in Hong Kong and China in entering commercial partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry and ensuring that important research findings are converted to real-life pharmaceutical products.
VCDD uses the international Ventac Partners team to bridge the gap between promising, early stage research programs and formal product development before licensing the technologies to the pharmaceutical industry.

Regenesance is a 2009 spin-out of the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Based on a novel therapeutic intervention point, the Company is developing new compounds that may reduce nervous system injury in patients. One compound (RGS1102) significantly enhances nerve function in an animal model of acute nerve damage. Preliminary results in animals with another compound (RGS2064) suggest it may reduce nerve damage after traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Avexxin is a 2005 spin-out based on research conducted at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Oslo University. Avexxin is a pharmaceutical company focusing on development of novel small molecule therapeutics for patients with chronic inflammatory conditions. Avexxin's lead compound (AVX001) is targeted at psoriasis and other chronic dermatological disorders. Other development programs of the company are directed at the development of compounds for rheumatoid arthritis and glomerulonephritis.

We provided a full range of pre-clinical advise services, recruited quality and cost efficient CRO services and collaborated with the inventors, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the university’s technology transfer office in recruiting venture capital injected in the company in three seed financing rounds. Currently, Ventac Partners provide the CEO and continue to strategically advise the company’s board and shareholders.
